Coral Springs, FL — April 20, 2026 — CTS Engines (CTS), a leading provider of jet engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services, today announced an expansion and extension of its partnership with Pratt & Whitney supporting the F117 engine program. This milestone underscores both companies’ commitment to expanding capability, capacity, and long-term readiness for the platform, while positioning CTS to reach full depot status.
This enhanced agreement extends the program through 2027 and significantly broadens CTS’s scope to include full Quick Engine Change (QEC) repairs, further strengthening CTS’s role in sustaining one of the U.S. Air Force’s most critical propulsion systems.
The F117 engine powers the Boeing C-17 Globemaster III, a cornerstone of the United States Air Force’s global airlift capability. These engines are essential in enabling rapid deployment of troops, equipment, and humanitarian aid worldwide, making reliability and sustainment paramount to mission success.
“This expansion marks a significant milestone not only for CTS but for the continued sustainment of the F117 program,” said Bill Kircher, CEO of CTS Engines. “Becoming an F117 depot provider, the first new one in over 15 years, reflects the trust Pratt & Whitney has placed in our team, our facilities, and our execution. With the addition of full QEC repair capability, we are further enhancing our ability to deliver reliable, mission-ready engines that support the critical operations of the U.S. Air Force.”
The agreement builds upon CTS’s successful execution of the F117 Bare Engine Sustainment contract announced in 2024 and reflects continued confidence in CTS’s operational performance, technical expertise, and investment in advanced MRO infrastructure. With its state-of-the-art Engine Hub in Coral Springs, Florida, CTS Engines is uniquely positioned to support expanded depot-level workscopes while maintaining high standards of quality, turnaround time, and customer responsiveness.
